Zeiss OCT
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is a new, non-invasive imaging technique that provides unprecedented high resolution and cross-sectional images of the eye.
An OCT scan is very quick and easy to perform. The scan allows your Optometrist to “see” below the surface layer of the retina. This amazing technology has the capability of detecting eye conditions at a very early stage providing better prognosis for treatment and the maintenance of good vision.
The OCT is particularly useful for monitoring small changes at the optic disc and the nerve fibre layer proving it to be invaluable for early detection of Glaucoma. It is also excellent at helping diagnosis and monitoring of many retinal conditions, for example diabetic retinopathy.
